Spiritual Practice!

Restorative Practices!

Restorative Practices!

A spiritual practice is a collection of activities performed regularly to enhance spiritual growth and development.  To connect you with the Divine Mind of your understanding.  Practices can be as simple as a 30-minute walking meditation or sitting in the park observing the Divine Intelligence of nature.  Drinking 12 glasses of spring or purified water a day can cleanse and purify your aura.  Just five minutes of Nadi Shuddhi Pranayama, also known as alternate nostril breathing, can lower heart rate, and improve cardiac and lung function while generating a sense of mental clarity, connectedness, and wellness.

Restorative Practices!

Restorative practices are anything that provides respite from your daily routine, restores vitality, exuberance, and connectedness to self.  Mindfulness practices are a simple way to incorporate restorative practices into your day.  Mindfulness can be as easy as focusing on your breath and watching your thoughts as you move through your activities.  The Spiritual Teacher Thich Nht Hanah, heavily associated with mindfulness meditation, taught that mindfulness leads to concentration which leads to insight.  This practice has been exceptionally fruitful, producing great creativity and intuition.  Try it for yourself.  You’ll be astounded by the results!

Restorative Practices!

Book Recommendations!

As a reproductive health firm that centers the voices and experiences of the underserved, we believe that reading is essential to deeply understanding and developing therapeutic relationships with this population.  This reading list is for anyone interested in furthering their knowledge in these areas. However, healthcare clinicians who aim to improve health outcomes and client satisfaction for underserved populations are strongly urged to review this list and to educate themselves beyond the clinical.  The psychosocial aspect of a client's life is closely intertwined with holistic health and wellness, rather than being separate and distinct.

Healthcare colleagues are also invited to review this list as a point of self-care.  Too often, the healing needs of the healer go unrecognized.

In the same way reading enhances our understanding of others, it cultivates a deeper knowledge of self.

Consumers are encouraged to check out all our book titles, especially those on naturopathic approaches to health.
